An incident the place a mom and son died after getting “into problem” within the water in a west London park was a “tragic accident”, police have stated.
The Metropolitan Police stated their deaths have been being handled as non-suspicious.
The drive added: “We are able to affirm they’re a mom and son, aged 34 and 7 years.”
It continued: “Subsequent of kin have been knowledgeable and are being supported by specialist officers. That is understandably an extremely troublesome time for them and so they have requested that their privateness be revered.”
The pair haven’t been named whereas officers work to inform these affected.
Officers have been referred to as simply earlier than 4.30pm on Saturday to Elthorne Park, Ealing, which is bordered by the River Brent, following “experiences of two folks in problem within the water”.
The pair have been recovered from the water, however died on the scene.
A Metropolitan Police assertion stated on Saturday: “Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fireplace Brigade.
“A lady and baby have been recovered from the water.

Detective Superintendent Pete Thackray, from the Met’s West Space Command Unit, stated: “This can be a tragic incident wherein a lady and her younger baby have misplaced their lives. Our ideas are with their family members.
