Motorists travelling dwelling at rush hour noticed smoke coming throughout the A449 between Sixways and Claines on Friday (June 12).

The fireplace service stated the incident was initially known as in as a hearth however that it was later found to be a mechanical fault.
“We obtained a name at 4.51pm to a automotive hearth on the A449 between the Sixways island and the Claines island,” a Hereford and Worcester Hearth and Rescue Service spokesperson stated.
“It was a false alarm. It was a damaged down automobile with mechanical failure.
“The automobile is stranded in lane one, which is closed.”
By 7.30pm the street had reopened and visitors had returned to regular.
